The Bradford Rattlers have dropped the puck on the new calendar year with a home-and-home series against the Powassan Eagles. A road loss followed by a victory at home has the Rattlers sitting with a record of 19-7-0.

Bradford traveled to Powassan on a short bench Friday and dropped the game 7-6 in overtime. Illes Gallo put forth a strong performance with four points (1g, 3a) while Dino Gombar did what he could with three points (2g, 1a).  The other goal scorers for Bradford included: Tahbazian, Skillicorn and Vennstrom.

Looking for revenge, the Rattlers returned home to open up the BWG for the new year. Bradford bounced right back with a dominating 12-0 victory over the same Eagles who defeated them just one game earlier. Mike Masucci got the victory and shutout in goal while Aaron Scott had a hat-trick and four point total. Gallo also notched four points (2g, 2a) of his own.

Bradford has the next five days to regroup and practice for a huge game upcoming against the South Muskoka Shield this Friday. The Shield sit second place in the league and will pose a good measure of where this Rattler squad sits.
