2016 Entry Draft Results
(Bradford, ON, May 16, 2016)

The Bradford Rattlers were represented at the 2016 GMHL Entry Draft in Innisfil, Ontario on May, 15th. The club made 14 selections through 12 rounds while also completing a trade with the St. George Ravens.

The first round pick of the Rattlers was local talent Cole Chapman. Chapman, 18, was the starting goaltender for the prestigious St. Andrew's College Prep school just South of Bradford. He has lead the school to back-to-back championships while also claiming the league titles for Best GAA in the 2014/15 & 2015/16 seasons. Chapman is a product of the York Simcoe Express AAA program standing 6'0", 160lbs.

The ‪‎Rattlers also completed a trade on draft day. The club has acquired the rights to Goaltender Mark Sinclair from the St. George Ravens. Sinclair, 20, was the starting goalie for the Caledonia Covairs Jr. B club last season and had played for the Hamilton Red Wings OJHL prior. Mark is a OHL draft pick to the Kingston Frontenacs from Hamilton, Ontario. Going to the Ravens is Defenseman Nathan Ferris.

Commenting on the draft, General Manager Sean Werth said it was a overall success: "We had a great weekend for the organization. We were able to draft some great young talent and also make a trade which could pay off huge for us down the road."
