(Bradford, ON, Jan 24, 2016)

Veteran Bradford Rattlers forward Rasmus Brunnberg now holds the franchise record for most goals scored in a Rattlers uniform.

On Sunday, January 22nd  against the Meaford Knights, Brunnberg scored his 50th and 51st goals of the season to bring his career totals to 84 career goals.

Rasmus continues to have a stellar breakout season, leading the entire GMHL in scoring with his 51 goals. He is also 7th in league-wide point totals with 81 points (51g, 30a) in 34 games.

The previous record holder was Canadian forward Conor Smith, who had 82 goals playing the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons with the club.

Since joining the team in 2014, Brunnberg has notched 164 points (84g, 80a) in 93 games through three injury riddled seasons. He is 4th on the all-time points board.

Bradford is in its 11th season in the Greater Metro Junior 'A' Hockey League. The storied, flagship franchise has seen many great players come through the ranks and advance to NCAA and professional hockey.

With that, Brunnberg has cemented his position in Rattlers history as one of the all-time greats. See Brunnberg and the rest of the high powered Bradford Rattlers this Sunday at 7:30pm at the BWG Leisure Centre.
